Our restaurant & lounge draws its name from long-ago days when a customer rang the “nightbell” for an after-hours service entrance. Enter the restaurant & lounge via a vintage storefront that sets a mysterious, intriguing ambiance, then ascend a staircase to enter the dining room and bar. An evening of whimsy, fun and magical treats awaits!
Here you’ll find Chef Button’s modern interpretation of traditional American food served small-plate style, sophisticated craft cocktails with hand-carved ice, unique wines from all over the world, and innovative music from across the Atlantic and around the corner.
Nightbell is the newest member of the Heirloom Hospitality Group, a family-owned business that also owns and manages Cúrate bar de tapas, the nationally-acclaimed Spanish restaurant located in downtown Asheville.

"Nightbell was everything that I expected and SOOO much more! I had the deviled egg, grilled cheese, burger, fries, peanut butter cake, and petit fours. Everything was superb, but my favorites were the deviled egg (you have to get this! It's the most popular item on the menu) and the petit fours (these change frequently, but I know they'll always be delicious because everything is at Nightbell). I can assure you that this place will be ranked as high as its sister restaurant Cúrate soon. I urge you to check out Nightbell immediately!"

“Relatively new to Asheville, Nightbell is already nominated for the James Beard Award. Our party of 6 went for dessert, and we weren't disappointed. My husband and I shared the Black Forest. WOW! Our friends had The Classic- a delightful assortment of dessert choices in Petit Fours style - and the Banana Split, which is not your typical soda fountain split. Definitely want to come back for a meal.”

"Katie Button has done it again! This inspired chef who created Curate has now created Nightbell, an “American” tapas restaurant in downtown Asheville. The extensive list of special cocktail creations is the work of Dan, the wonderful head bartender. I enjoyed a “Cold Roses” made of infused Tito’s vodka, St. Germain, lemon, and soda; it contained a “stick” of ice made from three kinds of fresh berries and was topped with lavender foam a pieces of rose petals. My husband had a “Pearly Legal” containing Bulleit rye, pear nectar, ginger beer, lemon, demerara, and more."

"Nothing standard about this evening out! The Nightbell offers interesting dinner options for the foodie and those who are looking for a more adventurous, enjoyable evening. We enjoyed the taste and presentation of each and every dish, especially the Deviled Egg and Caesar Salad appetizers. Combine multiple appetizers with small plates and you will make certain to save room for dessert which is important, believe me... try the Peanut Butter Cake... amazing! Coffee was superior to any I have had in the states. One thing you need to understand... each item is made to order so the delivery is less predictable and the flow is not always smooth... just roll with it, folks, you will not be sorry. Delicious."
